How much does awning cleaning cost?
The price depends on the surface area of the fabric in square metres and on the type of awning; Dutch canopies, folding arm and drop arm awnings each have their own rates. Tell us the type and dimensions and we will send you a price indication.
How do I clean an awning myself?
Remove light dust with clean water and a soft brush. We advise against pressure washers and harsh cleaning products, as they damage the coating of the awning fabric. For green growth, mildew or ingrained dirt, professional cleaning followed by waterproofing is worth it.
My awning fabric has faded in the sun. Can ZONklaar restore the original colour?
Unfortunately, fading cannot be reversed. Our coating does make the fabric a few shades darker again and helps it keep its colour for longer.
What causes mildew, and can it be removed?
Mildew is caused by lasting damp and permanently affects the fabric. If your awning fabric has mould or mildew, we remove it well. After the new coating, mould struggles to take hold on the surface; we cannot guarantee it will never return, though.
My awning no longer works properly. Do you fix technical problems too?
Yes, we fix technical problems as well. In practice we always combine this with cleaning and waterproofing the awning.
How does my awning get to ZONklaar?
Collection points do not accept awnings. Call us on +31 515 785 435 or send us a message and we will agree the best solution: drop the fabric off at our facility in Sneek or, in the Netherlands, have it cleaned on site.
